Your client gets the invoice in dollars or pounds. The euro equivalent is added automatically, at the ECB rate for the invoice date. That rate is locked when you send, so your VAT return and your invoice don't drift apart later.

Moneybird is a good product and the right choice for a lot of freelancers. They've been around longer, have more integrations and a bigger network of accountants.

Built by one developer, not by a funding round
I'm Dennis Kortekaas. I've worked as a developer for twenty years and done my own admin for just as long — with all the mistakes that come with it. Declair started from one question: why should invoicing a client in Berlin be so much harder than invoicing a client in Breda?
There's no investor behind it and no growth target. That means Declair grows more slowly than some alternatives, and that you get me on the line when something doesn't work.
